Quality is a principle of Sá & Irmão evidenced by our Certification. Since 2000 we are certified according to the framework of the International Code of Cork Stopper Manufacturing Practices for all activities of the production process. We work in accordance with good cork stopper practices to ensure the quality of cork products and ensure compliance for food contact.


This principle is present in all activities of the process from the purchase of raw materials to the delivery of customer stoppers.

Raw material control

Purchase of raw materials directly in the forest, strict inspection cork we ensure quality assurance in marketed cork products. Immediate packaging in yard that ensures the optimum conditions for the stabilization of the cork.

The production process control

During production operators perform and record the self-control of the parameters laid down in the work instructions for each stage of the production process.

Final inspection

In lots of finished products are made sampling and testing are carried out to ensure its conformity with the specifications.
